This week we will be participating in the ACT Quality Core testing for English and Algebra. We will be on a special schedule for four days:
Monday & Tuesday – 1st period 8:05-9:35 (testing); 3rd period 9:40-11:15 (testing); 4th period 11:20-12:50 (testing) lunch at 12:18; 5th period (my planning); 6th period 2:30-3:00 (30 min. no testing) Note that 2nd period will not meet on Monday or Tuesday.
Wednesday & Thursday – 2nd period 8:05-9:35 (testing); 3rd period 9:40-11:15 (not testing); 4th period 11:20-12:50 (not testing); 5th period 12:55-1:25 (30 min. no testing); 6th 1:30-3:00 (testing). Note that 1st period will not meet on Wed. or Thurs.
In regular English classes – we began reading Sharon Draper’s novel Forged by Fire. Honors classes began reading The Odyssey.
We will have end of year exams the last week or school. Dates to be announced next week.
