Time is flying by, and it’s progress report time. We will be distributing them this week. We are starting a new unit on Voice this week. An actor has two main tools: his/her voice and his/her body. Last week we covered the personal resources of concentration, focus, and movement. This week we are focusing on the voice: pitch, volume, rate, articulation, pronunciation, inflection, and projection.
Each student will need to memorize a short poem: a list will be provided. If you choose your own, I must approve it by Wed. Sept. 18th. You will present your poems beginning Friday, Sept. 20, continuing on Monday if needed. You will be graded on pitch, volume, rate, pronunciation and articulation. I will provide a rubric later in the week.
Also this week – My Birthday! I like coffee, diet drinks, skittles, jelly bellies (fruit flavored), etc. Have a great week!
